With a moderate sized, relaxed bird this style of perch performs well in it's free-standing format. If a more substantial grounding is required tent / ground pegs can be used over the feet if outdoors. If indoors a sand bag or equivalent can be used over the central beam to ensure stability.(neither ground pegs or sand bag are included with the perch)
